Data is for cases that were tested and returned positive. Numbers are cumulative since March 13, 2020. All data are sourced from Ministry of Health of Ethiopia daily notification note. preliminary and may change as cases are investigated.

Majority of the tests are administered on those in quarantine, suspects showing respiratory issues and those with high risk exposure so this data is not representative of the total number of people in Ethiopia who have or had COVID-19.

Updated daily by 11 a.m., with data current as of the day.

Dates provided are those when the case, recovered, or death was first posted in the situation report.

How many cumulative active cases(non-critical and critical), recovered cases and deaths are there in a day ?

This chart shows the cumulative number of cases by status:
Active – patients that are currently in treatment centers.
Critical – patients under intensive care
Deaths – patients that passed away due to COVID-19 illness
Recovered – patients that have been completed  treatment and tested negative
